Flood Photos Gallery

Welcome to Council’s Flood Photographs Gallery

This gallery shows a range of photographs from various sources and various years illustrating how flooding has affected parts of Ballina Shire over the years from European settlement.  The earliest flood photographs in the gallery are from 1893.  The photographs have been compiled and provided for the general interest of the community.

This newspaper cutting dates from 1 January 1893 and records one of the first floods experienced by early European settlers.
