Little Fisheries Creek
Little Fisheries Creek is a small tidal tributary of North Creek that flows into the Richmond River in the heart of Ballina. The creek ecosystem is rich in aquatic vegetation communities that include mangroves and salt marshes.
Little Fisheries Creek Reserve is a small 6,350m2 Crown reserve under the trust management of Ballina Council located along the southeastern foreshore of Little Fisheries Creek where the creek end abuts the residential section of the Ballina township. A group of local residents formed the Little Fisheries Landcare Group and with Wetland Care Australia and Ballina Shire Council have started planning a restoration and interpretive project for the area.
