Community Profile and Atlas
The Demographic Community Profile is designed to inform community groups, investors, business, students and the general public. It includes results from the 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996, and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing.
The Community Social Atlas includes key socio-demographic characteristics as interactive maps. Based on data from the 2006 Census of Population and Housing (ABS), each map provides the finest level of detail to help identify spatial patterns and trends in the area.
Ballina Shire's Economic Profile presents economic information that enables you to describe the area's role within the broader economy, explore options for economic development and promote the area's strengths. The information presented here is derived from official sources of information (Australian Bureau of Statistics) as well as Australia's leading economic modellers, National Economics (NIEIR). The latest data from each series is always presented in this site.
The Ballina Shire Population and Household Forecasts present what is driving population change in the community and how the population, age structure and household types will change each year between 2011 and 2036. The forecasts are designed to provide community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public with knowledge to make confident decisions about the future. These forecasts were last updated by .id, the population experts, on behalf of Ballina Shire. Forecasts are available for each year from 2011 to 2036.
