Ballina Rock Revetment Works

North Creek Rock Revetment Works

Council will start works early May to remove and replace additional rocks along the south bank of North Creek, between Meldrum Park and Missingham Park. The works will also include widening and replacing the shared path. 

The footpath will temporarily close during these works and pedestrians will be detoured via Bentinck Street and Owen/Norton Street. Part of Commemoration Park will be used for a temporary storage space for the construction. 

Regatta Avenue Rock Revetment Works

Council will rectify a small section of rock wall adjacent to the Ballina Memorial Pool along the Richmond River. During these works the footpath will close and pedestrians detoured via River Street. A storage construction space will be established at the Yacht Club car park. The boat ramp remain open at all times. 

These two projects will revive these rock wall areas and rectify damage done following the 2022 flood events. These projects have been funded by NSW Crown Lands and Ballina Shire Council.
