Annual Maintenance - February 2018

THE FERRY WILL RETURN TO SERVICE AT 5.30AM FRIDAY 23 FEBRUARY 2018

Council can now confirm the Burns Point Ferry will recommence operation on Friday 23 February at 5.30am.

Previous notifications advised return to service as Tuesday 20 February, however due to extreme humidity painting of the hull has been delayed.

The Ferry has been in slip to carry out mechanical and welding repairs plus give the ferry hull a blast and repaint. The slip dates are prearranged to coincide with suitable tides around the Wardell Bridge and available dock facilities. The ferry crossing will be closed to traffic for the duration of this work. Council apologises for any inconvenience this will cause. Road users are advised to use the alternate route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive, Wardell. For updates on ferry operations visit MyRoadInfo.com.au
