Playgrounds

Playgrounds are great places for kids to play outdoors. In Ballina Shire there are over 45 playgrounds that Council maintains.

Council recognises the importance of outdoor recreation for healthy and happy children and has developed the Ballina Shire Council Playground Upgrade and Management Plan 2022. This plan aims to improve and provide safe and imaginative playgrounds.

Existing playgrounds renewed under the playground upgrade plan will also be considered for retrofitted shade structures.
