Council represents the Department of Home Affairs by holding regular citizenship ceremonies to officially welcome residents as new Australian citizens in the Ballina Shire community.
Approved applicants are allocated to ceremony dates by the Department of Home Affairs in order of application. Council then issues an email invitation to those allocated to a ceremony date approximately four weeks in advance.
2026 ceremony dates are as follows:
