Community Donations

Each year, Council provides funding to support local not-for-profit organisations through two key programs:

  • Community Donations Program – financial support for community-based groups delivering programs or services that benefit our residents.
  • Capital Works Assistance for Community Sporting Groups – funding to help local sporting clubs with infrastructure improvements.

Applications closed on 31 May 2025. Funding is awarded in July for use in the 2025/26 financial year. Check eligibility requirements and application details below.

1. Get familiar with the Program and check your eligibility

The Donations guidelines are outlined in the Policy for each program. Before you apply, read through the relevant policy and determine if your project is eligible, noting your project must be completed by June 2026.

  1. Community-based organisations (maximum $5,000)
  2.  Sporting groups conducting capital works (maximum $10,000)

2. If your project is eligible, complete the online application form

If your project meets the eligibility requirements, the next step is to apply for funding by filling out the appropriate application form. Applications are now closed and will open again in 2026.

3. Acquitting your project

Once your project is complete, you'll need to let us know how it went and provide some documents by submitting an acquittal form within three months. After we receive and review your acquittal, we'll process your reimbursement for expenses. This must be completed before you apply again next year.
