Community Donations

Each year, Council provides funding to support local not-for-profit organisations through the following program:

  • Community Donations Program – financial support for community-based groups delivering programs or services that benefit our residents.  

Applications are open 1 - 31 May 2026. Funding is awarded in July for use in the 2026/27 financial year. Check eligibility requirements and application details below. 

 

1. Get familiar with the Program and check your eligibility

The Donations guidelines are outlined in the Policy for each program. Before you apply, read through the relevant policy and determine if your project is eligible, noting your project must be completed by June 2027.

  1. Community-based organisations (maximum $5,000)

2. If your project is eligible, complete the online application form

If your project meets the eligibility requirements, the next step is to apply for funding by filling out an 2026/27 Financial Assistance for Community Donations application form. Applications are open now and will close on 31 May 2026.

3. Acquitting your project

Once your project is complete, you'll need to let us know how it went and provide some documents by submitting an acquittal form within three months. After we receive and review your acquittal, we'll process your reimbursement for expenses. This must be completed before you apply again next year.
