Ballina Shire Council is progressing plans for the southern extension of Hutley Drive at Lennox Head, connecting to North Creek Road at Skennars Head.
This essential infrastructure will support residential development underway in this area.
The scope of this project includes:
Landscaping works to align with existing streetscapes and natural environment.
This project required the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Development Application and EIS was approved in 2015, following public exhibition.
Council is continuing pre-construction works and actively seeking grant funding to complete the project.

Skennars Head Rd/Hutley Dr/North Creek Rd intersection
Design and planning approvals are also being progressed for the intersection of Skennars Head Road, Hutley Drive and North Creek Road intersection. For operational purposes this roundabout is being progressed under the North Creek Road project and we expect the upgraded intersection to be in place prior to the opening of Hutley Drive South. A concept of the roundabout is detailed below:
