New Ballina SES Headquarters

Volunteers have moved into Ballina’s new SES Building and Emergency Operations Centre, marking a major milestone as the project continues.

The modern new facility will support the Ballina SES Unit in responding to floods, storms, tsunamis and other emergencies across the region.

The community will continue to see Stage 2 works underway including landscaping, footpaths and additional parking.

This project, which is jointly funded by Council and NSW SES will be finished in late 2026 and features:

New six-bay vehicle shed
Administration offices, incorporating Emergency Operations Room, training room. meeting rooms, offices, locker room with showers, laundry, storage and kitchen/dining facilities.
Carparking and lighting upgrades
Connecting footpaths and stormwater infrastructure
Landscaping and offset planting
