Critical Stage Inspections

For small scale developments such as houses, sheds, garages, carports, retaining walls and pools, the following inspections are required applicable to the particular development:

1. Footings/Piers Inspection – after excavation and before concrete is poured.
2. Slab Inspection – before pouring reinforced concrete.
3. Frame Inspection – before wall, floor or roof framing is covered.
4. Waterproofing Inspection – before waterproof membranes are covered.
5. Stormwater Inspection – before drainage connections are covered.
6. Final Inspection – after all building work is completed and before an Occupation Certificate is issued.
7. Swimming Pool Barrier Inspection (where applicable) – after the pool fence/barrier is installed.
